Many public transport initiatives have been introduced within the EastLink corridor to improve this important service for residents.
Railway station upgrades
ConnectEast provided $20 million to the Victorian Government to upgrade four railway stations along the corridor. This funding was offered as an additional incentive during the bidding process for EastLink.
Wellington Road SmartBus
A SmartBus route was developed to help reduce the numbers of cars on Wellington Road, which connects to EastLink.
