An Environment Effects Statement (EES) was completed for the Peninsula Link project in mid 2009.
Based on detailed technical investigations and community feedback, Linking Melbourne Authority (formerly SEITA) identified a preferred alignment for Peninsula Link as part of the EES process.
A public exhibition was held in late 2008 followed by an independent planning panel inquiry in early 2009. The planning panel report and Minister for Planning's recommendations can be found at www.dpcd.vic.gov.au.
During the EES phase of the project, Linking Melbourne Authority also assisted in the development of the Pines Flora and Fauna Reserve Draft Master Plan.
