In 2006, the State Government announced $2.5 million would be spent establishing a park to protect the important Mullum Mullum bushland located above the tunnels.

Mullum Mullum Park is located near existing Council reserves such as Schwerkolt Cottage, Antonio Park and Yarran Dheran.

Features of Mullum Mullum Park include a playground, picnic facilities and walking and bike trails for the local community and visitors to enjoy.

The new Mullum Mullum Park is a significant addition to Victoria's world class system of parks, reserves and waterways.
