Based on community feedback from phase one and further detailed investigations, SEITA has released route option one as the preferred option for a Frankston Bypass.
The investigations undertaken by SEITA included -
- Traffic and road safety analysis;
- Social impact assessment;
- Environmental impact assessment;
- Transport and economic impact assessment;
- Cultural heritage investigations; and
- An evaluation of community submissions.

Pines Flora and Fauna Reserve draft master plan
SEITA, in conjunction with Parks Victoria, is also seeking community feedback on the Pines Draft Master Plan.

The draft master plan includes the Pines Flora and Fauna Reserve, Department of Primary Industries (DPI) land, the existing freeway road reservation and a former landfill site.
The planning is being undertaken in consultation with Parks Victoria, Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE), DPI, Frankston City Council and the Friends of the Pines.
